Caly begins with three simple elements: a luminous sphere, a ring, and an elastic textile. Designed in collaboration with Berlin-based designer Michael Rem, the form emerged through playful experimentation with material, tension, and proportion. The textile stretches over the sphere and the ring, creating its own distinct silhouette.
The result combines a strong physical presence with a light, fluid expression. Its tensioned textile creates an almost weightless volume. When switched on, the fabric becomes an active diffuser, casting an enveloping, glare-free glow reminiscent of professional studio lighting.
Together with Danish manufacturer GEJST, Caly reached market maturity in 2026 and launched at 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen.
